Here at Misfit Snacks, we are dedicated to giving back to the local community. Our entire purpose is to help make our world a better place by saving perfectly good food from going to waste and by helping those less fortunate than ourselves. To show our commitment to that cause we have a pledge: We pledge to donate a package of our Snacks every time you purchase a package, and donate our net proceeds to charity. We as a team have pledged these donations to the YWCA which assists mothers and children who have been affected by domestic abuse. The YWCA is located in downtown Salt Lake City, UT, which is open 24 hours a day and has 181 beds to help mothers and children flee from unsafe situations. These women and children have come from the scariest situations and we hope that our Snacks can do a little bit to help them both nutritiously and emotionally (a delicious little snack can really help us all feel better). When you purchase a Misfit Snack, you are not only getting a product that is healthy and perfect for food storage, but you are also directly helping those affected by domestic abuse and helping them get a fresh start. As Misfit Snacks grows to a national and international snack our goal is to expand our outreach to similar organizations all over the United States. We chose to use our resources to help these specific organizations because our special little snacks can do a lot of good both therapeutically and nutritiously for these families in crisis. When a woman and her children find themselves in such a scary situation, the last thing they should need to worry about is getting themselves something nutritious and delicious for themselves and their kids to snack on.
